The Receiving Retreat: Sri Lanka

Our retreat will be hosted in the private Villa Vehalla, located in the beautiful beach town of Hikkaduwa, with views looking over the Hikkaduwa lagoon, 5 minutes away from Hikkaduwa main beach. The villa offers 8 fully air-conditioned rooms, spacious dining areas (indoor and out), balconies, a rooftop terrace, and a large decked pool area, boasting a vast 15-metre long swimming pool.

Our private chef will prepare fresh, homemade dishes with local produce each day. Both Sri Lankan style dishes and evening BBQs are what you can expect. A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout your stay. On the third evening of your Receiving Retreat experience, a variety of specialised cocktails and mocktails will be prepared by our very own bartender, Luke, selected from our uniquely designed menu; your opportunity to dress up, lean back, and have some fun.

Our retreat itinerary has been designed for you to truly make space to receive. Our wonderful yoga teacher, Yuls, will be guiding guests through both morning and evening yoga sessions. Other sessions, hosted by Bec and Natalia, include breathwork into hypnosis and somatic embodiment practices. These spaces are designed for you to re-connect to your body, trust the signals it’s sending you and restore and regulate your nervous system. 

On your Receiving Retreat journey, you’ll receive the opportunity to explore key teachings on and around the Portal of Receiving Philosophy®. These sessions are designed to heal your attachment wounds within relationships, and scarcity around money. Re-connect with your creativity and inner child, free yourself from hustle culture and come home to the knowing you’re innately worthy of receiving. We have no doubt that, as a result, you’ll manifest and welcome in more money, opportunity and abundance without having to work harder to receive more.

The most important thing about attending the Receiving Retreat is not what you’re doing next. It’s about the present. It’s about trusting yourself to know what you need, moment to moment. That’s why we have intentionally designed our itinerary with plenty of free time to read, nap, swim, share stories with each other, wander down to the beach or lagoon…. Or maybe just be. Where your only hard decision is which cocktail or mocktail you’ll be drinking later.

On day 5 of the Receiving Retreat, we will be taking you on a trip outside of the villa to Galle, a beautiful Unesco World Heritage Site, which is famous for its Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and historic museums. Spontaneity is a key characteristic of the retreat, so adventures down to Hikkaduwa beach, private massages, story-telling under the stars, and a visit to the nearby turtle sanctuary will be where magical memories are made.

Our Receiving Retreat Team has been hired to create an energy where you feel safe, seen, and accepted for exactly who you are.
